Article by J. Young

With the tensions rising in the Middle East between the United States and Russia, it is little known that tensions have escalated in the Mediterranean Sea. A United States Marine Expeditionary Unit that operates under the moniker of “SOF” was performing counter-trafficking operations in the Aegean Sea near Russian National forces. On the 19th of April, Russian and US forces engaged each other in an act of war.

There had been reports that an unknown force was moving from town to town abducting Christian priests as they moved east across the island of Altis. The SOF were given the task of investigating and stopping this. The SOF emplaced in the town of Rodopoli to try and prevent the priest from being abducted. Unfortunately for the SOF, the Russians had set up an ambush.

The SOF took many casualties in their attempt to hold the town and defeat the Russian armored convoy, but unfortunately had to be pulled from the battlefield via helicopter. Even with the high number of casualties, the SOF managed to seemingly diminish the Russian military presence on the island of Altis.

More news to come as the situation develops.
